Day 1

Great white Shark diving, Whales, Penguins in the Southern Cape

A 45 minute trip from Cape Town joins the spectacular Clarence Coastal Drive to Betty’s Bay, visit Africa’s largest Penguin colony, these endangered birds will fascinate you.

The charming coastal town of Hermanus, is the world’s best land based whale watching spot between the months of June to December. Watch these amazing mammals, display their aquatic skills. NB: These activities are subject to Shark boat departure times.

At Gansbaai prepare for your Great White diving experience, the activity is conducted from a specially adapted shark boat. This is a close encounter adrenalin rush

Visit Elim in the Southern Cape, an 18th century Moravian Mission Village, its beautifully maintained white cottages that have remained unchanged over time.

Cape Agulhas the southern most point of Africa, where the cold Atlantic, meets the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.

See the ancient tidal fish traps built by the Khoisan who once called this coast home.

Fresh fish for dinner perhaps!

Day 2

Big 5 Safari & Cape Agulhas (Southernmost point on the African continent)

This morning we visit the lighthouse & walk along the boardwalk to Agulhas point. Departing we travel through the wheat lands of the Southern Cape to Mossel Bay visit the museum & Post Office Tree where the ancient Portuguese mariners started S.A’s first post office. Walk up to the Khoisan cave, after which enjoy a light lunch on the beach.

At Botlierskop Private Game Reserve, a game ranger will take you on a 3 hour safari drive, where you will encounter the Big Five.

From Botlierskop, travel to Oudtshoorn, capital of the Little Karoo & renowned for its spectacular arid landscapes, & of course as the Ostrich Capital of the world as well as home to the spectacular Cango Caves.

Your luxury guest house is on a working Ostrich farm, watch a classic Karoo sunset & after an excellent (optional)3 course dinner, watch the majesty of the Southern African night sky as the stars mesmerise & wrap you in their arms.

Fall asleep in your luxury room to the night sounds of the Karoo.

Day 3

Great Karoo, Cango Caves and Safari Ostrich farm ( optional Meerkat spectacle )

After a typical South African farm breakfast, you visit the Cango Caves, said to be the worlds most beautiful. Where drip stone caverns which will amaze you & where you will admire extraordinary limestone formations.

The Cango Caves are located in Precambrian limestone in the Swartberg mountain range near the town of Oudtshoorn, Visit the oldest working Ostrich farm for a tour and an opportunity to learn everything about these strange flightless birds.

Leaving Oudtshoorn continue to Montagu along the famous Route 62 with picturesque villages and featuring local handicrafts. Driving through the Huguenot tunnel, Africa’s longest, you get an insight to the huge obstacle for the first pioneers leaving the Cape for the interior. We drive via Paarl which takes its name from the granite domes of the mountain. It is situated in the Berg River Valley and founded by the French Huguenots in 1652. The town is home to famous wine producing estates.
