OVERVIEW

Day 1-4

You will be met at Maputo International Airport and be transferred to Ponto do Ouro by road a 90 minute journey. Travelling south you cross the Ketembe bridge the longest suspension bridge in Africa. Travelling through diverse countryside to Ponto do Ouro, you pass the Maputo Special Reserve Elephant Park, paradise in Southern Mozambique. After checking into the Ponto Beach Guest House head for the beach to make your Snorkeling and water sport arrangements. If you are an avid underwater photographer go no further. Ponto with its unspoiled beaches with a water sport to suit all preferences. Beach walks on beaches few have tread before. Between July and October Whale watch. Like all the Mozambique coast you are in a piece of heaven. Enjoy the famous seafood platters for dinner and later join the night vibe of Ponto. Snorkeling equipment hire is for hire and motorized water sport price is negotiable.

Day 5-8

Praie do Tofoand Casa

Depart Ponto do Ouro at 06:00 by road to Maputo for your air transfer to Inhambane. In Inhambane you will be met and transferred to the Casa Barry Beach Lodge in Tofo. There are 3 water sport company’s in Tofo, after light lunch, hotel staff will direct you to where they are.
Whale Sharks and Mantaray’s can be seen all year round and Tofo is one of the worlds most important sites. Watch how millions of tropical fish feed off the parasites that latch on to the Rays and Whale Sharks. Humpback and Southern Right Whales give birth in these waters during July to December. Snorkeling equipment is for hire, Kayaks are included at Casa Barry, All motorized sport and boat trips to diving sites are negotiable. Tofo is a place where high end guests and backpackers meet in one glorious coming together when sharing the same beach bars and restaurants. The beaches, the sea are tranquility at its finest the restaurants are like what our imagination always thought tropical restaurants would be like.

Day 9-10

Vilanculos
Depart early from Inhmabane airport for your air transfer to Vilanculos on arrival you will road transfer to the Vilanculos Beach Lodge. After a light lunch overlooking the beach. Go horse riding or kite surfing. Not included. Or just relax around the pool or on the beach or swim in warm Indian Ocean waters. Perfection. Your choice of restaurant in Vilanculos tonight.
To day why not go island hopping through the Bazaruto Archipalgo on a Dhow the crew will make lunch on the Dhow or on a deserted island for you. Price negotiable. The sea’s are magnificent shades of blue and the most wonderful sand dunes lining the shore. Remember you saw and loved this area before mass tourism arrived and it’s coming.
Spend your last night enjoying a seafood dinner under the stars at your lodge.

Day 11

Maputo
Depart Vianculos at noon for Vilanculos airport for your air transfer to Maputo.
Enjoy a lazy late breakfast and a last swim in the Indian Ocean a walk on snow white silky sands before saying good bye one of the worlds best kept secrets.
